Gevatter Tod is a german band from the Berlin metal underground. The two-man-project was founded in summer 2018 by Alexander Peters and Björn Reim, after a spontaneous rehearsal room session. The music features german lyrics with lots of lyrical references to the literature of the 19th and 18th centuries, with an unique mix of extreme death metal, black metal and hardcore. Depending on the atmosphere, the variety also offers electronic and orchestral elements and acoustic interludes.
The debutalbum „DIE NEUE TEUFELEI I“ is now available on CD and for streaming on all common streaming channels.
